What exactly do you do as a coach?

Historically, the root of the word “coach” describes the process or vehicle used to transport people from where they are, to where they want to be. I support my clients when they are moving into new territory so they don’t have to go it alone.

What benefits will I get from working with a coach?

Coaching is about understanding yourself better. By getting focused, choosing your path and taking intentional action, you’ll learn how to transform your fears into possibility and opportunity. It’s also about being accountable, so you get the results you want. You’ll get a reality check when you need it and a healthy dose of encouragement along the way, too.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy reexamines a past experience and analyzes it from multiple angles or different perspectives. Coaching focuses on what is happening in the present. It is about moving toward a specific outcome in your life.

How do you use yoga as part of your coaching?

I believe in a holistic system of coaching. As my client, you’ll receive personalized yoga poses, meditations and/or breathing practices that will help you align your mind, body and spirit. That’s the key to sustainable change.

Rest assured, if you are new to yoga, I won’t turn you into a pretzel (promise!) And, if you already love yoga, we’ll build on your current practice to reinforce what you are seeking to create in your life.

How can you help me if you don’t know anything about me?

Coaching is a process and over time I will learn about you – your strengths, your fears, your desires. Often, someone you have no history with can see your situation more objectively than the people who are closest to you. The key is finding a coach that you resonate with, that is why I offer a free Discovery Session.

Where do we meet for a session?

I’ve found that phone/Skype meetings work the best for most of my clients. It allows you the convenience to work with me no matter where you live. Plus, you are in a familiar environment during your session, it saves you travel time and we don’t have to reschedule for messy weather or heavy traffic.

How long do I need to work with a coach?

It varies depending on what you are seeking to create. My 1:1 programs start at 3 months with the option to continue for 6 months or longer. Coaching is a process, not an event, and overcoming obstacles that have held you back for years doesn’t happen overnight.

How do we get started?

The first step is always a Discovery Session, which gives us a chance to connect. Then, once we agree that 1:1 coaching feels like a fit for both of us, I will send you a series of questions to start learning more about you before our first call.
